Biography

Andrew Healy received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. He was a conservation technician for the Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Centers. He also previously worked at a private practice while living in Gloucester, Massachusetts. At the Michael C. Carlos Museum, he gained experience with Microfade Testing (MFT) on textiles and works on paper.

He participated in the International Summer School for Conservation in Germany in the churches of Laue, Spröda, and Kyhna. Through the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project, he learned about waterlogged archaeological material, and received a certificate in traditional washi papermaking from Awagami Paper Factory in Tokushima, Japan.
