Morgan Burgess graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2012 with a B.A. in Classical Archaeology and a minor in Studio Art. Her first conservation experiences were as an undergrad at the Mugello Valley Arcaheological Project: Poggio Colla Field School in Vicchio, Italy. After graduating from Franklin & Marshall, Morgan began a two year post-baccalaureate study in Chemistry at Rutgers University and a pre-program internship at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. After two years of chemistry and about a year and a half at the Penn Museum, Morgan moved to Austin, Texas for an internship at the Harry Ransom Center at UT Austin volunteering in the books conservation lab.
